Modular vs traditional building.
What’s the difference? Choosing a modular build means choosing a faster, more convenient, and less stressful way to build your home. Here’s how it compares:
| Feature | Modular Build (Prime Portables) | Traditional On Site Build |
|---|---|---|
| Build Time | 12 to 16 weeks in factory | 6 to 12 months or more, weather delays common |
| Cost Certainty | Fixed upfront pricing | Prone to budget blowouts |
| Construction Site Impact | Minimal disruption to your land | Long term disturbance, mess, noise |
| Weather Delays | None, factory controlled environment | Frequent delays due to rain and weather |
| Quality Control | Consistent, factory tested standards | Variable, depends on contractors |
| Permit Support | Managed by our in house team | Often requires you to coordinate |
| Customisation Options | Layouts, finishes, cladding, upgrades | Yes, but slower and more costly |
| Delivery & Install | Delivery and on site connection | On site build from ground up |
